The way to reach us :

From the capital Guatemala Ciudad, Isleta de Gaia may be reached via Escuintla using the new highway Palin-Escuintla, then taking the coastal road to El Salvador to Chiquimulilla and continuing untill the kilometer 144 where you will find a crossroads. Turn right on the way to Las Lisas 17 kms untill the end of the road. You will find public boat service at port “Sarampaña” (Las Lisas mooring). See: Discover / Maps / Guatemala
Guarded and secured car parking lots are available in Sarampaña.

It only takes approximately 2 hours by car to cover 100 miles
(160 kms) from Guatemala City.

Several bus lines “camionetas” are available from Guatemala Ciudad to Chiquimulilla. They are cheap and not very comfortable. Buses run between Chiquimulilla and las Lisas hourly from 9am to 4pm. We do not recomment this kind of transportation.

In case of simultaneous arrivals of guests, we can provide direct shuttle from Guatemala/Antigua to Sarampaña. (Airport or Hotel pick-up)

Public shuttle service (boats called “lanchas”) is available in Sarampaña.
Ask for Isleta de Gaia in “El Jiote”.
Cost is about Quetzal 80.00 / 100.00. ( Us$ 10.00 / 12.00 )

On the way to our bungalow village, this 30 minutes cruise on the Chiquimulilla river among an extensive Mangrove forest will provides you a wonderful introduction to the world of Isleta de Gaia that is situated on a land between two beaches: Pacific Ocean and Laguna of Chiquimulilla.
